A year to the day that my exploration essay about inequity in the arts for young people of color (and educators of color) was published!!
I am so freaking proud!! What a journey it has been. In one year, the essay has made such an incredible impact in the arts world, in education, and a myriad of other spaces. It is published internationally and has been shared far and wide as an educational resource – required reading material for many spaces.
Then of course, I just spoke at the SXSW Education Conference about it
headlined another conference where I was able to deliver a workshop around it (and perform)
, and have another conference coming up
