BLACK. Pueblo Tour

#BlackHistory – Kicked off performances of “Black. With a Capital B.” with a two show day in Pueblo yesterday. I was especially moved by our student group discussion and then our community evening show was truly special because relatives of Alton Sterling – one of the victims that this play was inspired by in 2016 – were in the audience. Indescribable. It is always an honor to do this show, inspire/have meaningful conversations with our audiences about race, understanding, social justice, and most importantly, honoring victims of police brutality. 5 years and this show is still making an incredible impact and is one of the projects I am most proud of in my career. So grateful for our playwright Lamaria AminahCurious Theatre Company, Pueblo, and my amazingly talented friends Anastasia Davidson (cast mate) and Jada Dixon for facilitating yesterday!! This Is Black History.

I also dedicated this two show day to my Grandma and Papa Norvelle whose services will be on Saturday. Two celebrations of life in one day

💔

so these two shows in one day were for them. Love you and miss you dearly. Always and forever.
