My heart is so full π to round out Black History Month, I spent the last two days hosting assemblies for hundreds of kiddos as well as their Family Night for their Black Lives Matter at School weeks of action + honoring Black heritage ππΎ (limited pics of the full effect/kiddos per usual…privacy π₯° but yo…packed out lol) All of the kids were so amazing each day, and so were their families. I was also incredibly moved by their responses to what Black Lives Matter means to them π
I have also been seeing my lovely preK classrooms for weeks that I’m doing residencies for (+ professional development for their teachers in arts integration). On top of that, performance-wise π I had a fun night doing something top secret with people I adore on Monday (more when we’re able to say lol) as well as head to Steamboat for some performance action through the end of the week. (Plus my mom’s bday was yesterday π) My heart is filled with so much gratitude for the work I am blessed to do, the impact I am able to make, for all of the wonderful young people of the world, and of course, my ancestors βπΎHere we go March π #BlackHistory #WomensHistory πππΎπ―
